Photowalk in Kotturpuram Tree Park, Chennai, India

Welcome to my photoblog and thank you for stopping by.  Hope you “Follow” along to stay in touch with everyday things and new adventures.  Singapore in Mid-July.

The newly formed “Chennai’s Most Serious Photographers” Google + Community hosted an early Sunday morning photowalk at Kotturpuram Tree Park on the edge of the Adyar River.

The park is open from 5.45 am till 10.30 am in the mornings and 4.00 pm to 7.30 pm in the evenings.  Admission is free.  Photography for non-commercial purposes allowed.

Although a rather small plot of land at 5 acres as a park goes, yet it was full of flowering trees and bushes which drew in 100s of butterflies today.  Many walkers too.

Although I had the wrong lenses with me today (not long focal length macros)  I was able to capture a few interesting images for you the viewer:

I love your posts and website. If I may give you a suggestion as to improve the posting, you could select an image as the featured image which is going to be shown on the message you send to everybody. Basically, the message will show the featured image and the remaining text. If you want to truncate the text and say “Continue reading here…”, you add the “Insert the more tag here” tag that appears on the editor (that little icon at right, two bold lines and a dotted line).

    Thanks.

    1. CB – Forgot to state that when I post cross-post in G+, FB… that it automatically does what you state (Photo and short text). Let me try your suggestion for WP readers. Thx
